10 Inexpensive Family Activities To Do During COVID-19
DISCLAIMER: FOR ALL OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES PLEASE MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW 6 FEET APART GUIDELINES AND DONT FORGET YOUR MASK IF NEEDED
1. Have a picnic at the park
When we lived in Atlanta, Piedmont Park was like a second home. We'd plan every weekend taking a trip to our pantry, packing up some lunch whether it be peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or leftover dinner from the night before, grabbing our blanket, and head to the park to relax.
2. Go on a Walk
I love going on walks. Ron and I (now with Melo) would find the nearest trail and just go walking. I love fresh air.
3. Family Game Night
Even though Melo cant join us now,
4. Family Cooking Competition
Ron and I are a bit competitive. Sometimes we pretend we're on Chopped and trying to make a random meal with any material we find at the house. Ron always beat me with Pasta, but let me tell you, I can make a mean spinach pizza.
Horticulture is such an amazing hobby to partake in, with a little bit of patience you can reap some beautiful or tasty rewards.
6. Go to the Beach
One of the best past times. Don’t forget your beach umbrella, towels, and sunscreen (Skin cancer don’t discriminate, black people need it too)
7. Water Fun day! Run through the sprinkler!
During these hot summer months, sometimes it just fun to run through the sprinklers.
8. At Home camping
Set up a tent and camp out in the backyard! Make some S'more bars and stargaze!
9. Try a Hobby
I love crafting, it one of my favorite creative outlets that I use to clear my mind.
10. Stream Family Movie Night
Technology it limitless. At this point you can stream almost anything online. Pick a platform, make some popcorn and enjoy. Hamilton just got released to Disney+!! Movies Night
